Community Guidelines
LinkUp · Updated 11 September 2026
Be the reason a group feels welcoming. These rules apply to profiles, photos, hangouts, messages and interactions arranged through LinkUp.
Respect people and boundaries
- No harassment, intimidation, stalking, threats or repeated unwanted contact.
- No hate, discriminatory abuse or attacks based on identity or protected characteristics.
- No sexually explicit or exploitative content, unwanted sexual attention, or material involving sexual harm to minors.
- No impersonation, fake profiles used to deceive, scams, spam or manipulative promotion.
- No dangerous plans, violence, illegal activities or instructions that put people at risk.
- No sharing someone’s home address, private phone number, private messages or other sensitive information without permission.
Keep meetups considerate
Use a general area in public discovery and arrange in-person hangouts in public venues. Do not pressure anyone to reveal private details, pay unexpected charges, move to a private venue or stay in an uncomfortable situation. Respect a declined request, a block or a decision to leave.
Hosts should describe the activity honestly, respect capacity and tell participants when a plan changes. Participants should avoid misleading attendance commitments and respect the venue.
Eligibility
This initial social experience is for eligible adults aged 18 or older. Do not falsify age, help others bypass restrictions or use adult discovery to contact minors.
Report and block
Use Report on a profile, hangout or message. Choose a reason and add enough context for review without copying unnecessary sensitive details. Reports are private to the reporting workflow and configured moderators.
Use Block user separately for immediate restrictions within LinkUp. Blocking removes connections/requests and applicable shared memberships. You can review and unblock accounts in Settings. Reporting does not automatically block a person.
Enforcement
Available actions include content removal, event cancellation and account suspension. Reports may be open, under review, actioned or dismissed. This release does not promise active human monitoring or emergency assistance.
OWNER ACTION REQUIRED: Establish moderation staffing, escalation and appeals before public launch. Publish a working contact and the appropriate emergency guidance for your launch locations.
