Terms of Service

LinkUp · Updated 11 September 2026

OWNER ACTION REQUIRED: Add the operator’s identity, contact, jurisdiction and any legally required provisions. Have these terms reviewed for the actual launch location before publication.

The service

LinkUp lets eligible members create and join group hangouts, use group chat, save plans, send connection requests and manage profiles. Online hangouts may use external meeting providers. LinkUp does not operate native video calls, verify that every profile is authentic, supervise physical meetups or guarantee anyone’s conduct.

Eligibility and accounts

The initial social service is for eligible adults aged 18 or older. Provide accurate eligibility information and do not bypass restrictions. Keep sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for the content and actions you submit from your account.

Access may depend on the hosting audience and identity provider. The current release may remain private during development and testing. A successful build does not mean public access or store approval is available.

Content and conduct

You must accept and follow the Community Guidelines before creating content. Submit only content you are entitled to share. Do not expose another person’s private information or upload unlawful, threatening, abusive or inappropriate material.

You retain your rights in your content. You permit LinkUp and its operational providers to store, process and display it as needed to provide the requested service, subject to the Privacy Policy and deletion functionality.

Hosts and participants

Hosts should provide accurate plans and update or cancel them when necessary. Use general areas in discovery and public meeting venues. Respect group capacity, other members’ decisions and personal boundaries. Leaving a hangout removes your access to its private details and chat.

External meetings and map services have separate terms and policies. Check the destination before opening a link. LinkUp does not guarantee availability or safety of a venue or outside provider.

Reporting and enforcement

Reports are stored in a restricted moderation queue. Available moderator actions include reviewing/dismissing reports, removing a message or hangout, and suspending an account. Reporting and blocking are separate controls. A report does not guarantee immediate action.

OWNER ACTION REQUIRED: Establish human moderation, response coverage, appeals and a working support contact. No staffed response operation has been verified for this release.

Account deletion and service changes

You can initiate account deletion from Settings or the web deletion page. Your hosted hangouts and their chats will also be deleted, affecting other participants. Any retained suspension record and provider retention limitations are described in the Privacy Policy.

Features may change, and service may be interrupted. Any terms about liability, disputes, refunds, subscriptions or other commercial obligations require operator/legal review before launch. This version does not include an in-app payment or subscription system.

Experience posts and credits

Only share photos you have permission to post. Hosts confirm attendance; confirmation is not independent proof of physical presence. Eligible posts earn 10 credits once per user per event, capped at 30 earned credits per UTC day. Credits have no cash value and cannot be bought, transferred or redeemed.

A confirmed 10-credit purchase gives one post 24 hours of rotating priority within its existing audience. A boost does not guarantee views. Deleting or removing the rewarded post reverses its reward without refunding already spent boost credits; the balance may become negative. Reposting does not reset eligibility or daily limits. Spam, fabricated attendance and reward manipulation are prohibited.
